As those who follow the TLC series know, cast members become the victims of death hoaxes all of the time. Sadly, however, a handful of My 600-Lb. Life cast members have passed away over the years. So, it isn’t too surprising that fans of My 600-Lb. Life were not ready to accept that Larry Myers Jr. was dead simply because claims of his death were making rounds on social media.
Doing a bit of deep diving, Tv Shows Ace can confirm the My 600-Lb. Life star has passed away. Several of his family members have taken to Facebook (tagging him in their posts) while confirming his passing. Likewise, a member of his family also started a GoFundMe campaign confirming his death and hoping to raise money for his funeral service. To date, the campaign has raised about $500.
Tragically, Facebook activity confirms Larry Meyers had just celebrated his 49th birthday days before passing away. While the exact date of his death has not been easy to pin down, it appears as if he may have passed away three to five days ago somewhere between June 13 and June 15.
He Was Struggling With Asthma About A Month Ago
At this time, no information has been released regarding his cause of death. As fans know, he had lost a significant amount of weight and was living a much better life. He, however, took to Facebook on May 25th to complain he was having a concerning difficult time with his asthma. He posted that he had never experienced such a rough bout of asthma. And, he was debating calling 911 and heading to the hospital.
Fans Loved Larry Myers
This particular My 600-Lb. Life death is hitting fans especially hard because they absolutely loved Larry Myers. He was very interactive in fan groups dedicated to the show. And, he spent a lot of time messaging fans and sharing kind words with people. Most fans who claimed to have had the pleasure of speaking with him agreed he was a great and kind individual.
